Perseverance Throughout the ages

Perseverance throughout the Ages
Project 1

For my first project I planned to present a physical 3-dimensional CADD printed door way representing the similar doorway that African-Americans and Homosexuals groups metaphorically had gone through for their equality. The inspiration had come from some of Gil Scott Heron's music,  a black activist singer during the late 70's who is coined for the beginning stepping stone towards rap. The door WAS to be printed out with some music lyrics of his on a side, and on the opposing side was suppose to be quoted from Barry D. Adam's novel, "The rise of Gay and Lesbian Movement." Unfortunately that wasn't met. Along with a visual aspect and I wrote an essay comparing the two groups and relating the social development of the two groups over the last 30 years and how even today equality for these two groups s still a constant battle.

English

To incorporate an English aspect into the project I presented an essay comparing & contrasting the African-American struggles and Homosexual struggles both faced in America. The essay was worked on during the last week of the project and I faced trouble as I progressed through it and did receive feedback but never had a chance to go back and work on it, although I would like to. The document should have focused more on the research I had.
