Overview
For my project I tackled the task of trying to put together an interactive powerpoint on the history of music as well as try to answer some controversial questions by researching the topic and giving my own insight while still regarding the opposing side. In my project I faced many hardships. I was faced with adversity at every stage, but thankfully due to my adaptability I was able to overcome my issues. So, I have uploaded my project in the space below. I regretably inform you that during the uploading process I was unable to recreate the interactive aspect of my presentation due to processing issues. But, I still have uploaded all of my work, and below the project I put a key/explanation guide in order for you to easily navigate my presentation. I hope you enjoy my project, and remember music is paramount.
Key Guide
Slide 1-2: These slides are my introductory slides, and depending on what route you wanted to view you would click the picture to navigate you through the presentation.
Slide 3: This slide is what would have popped up if you were to click the controversial route. The first three questions all work together in order to answer the final question which is "Where is Music Going?" The Music Influence button goes to some music influences that I felt were note worthy.
Slide 4-16: These slides were the essays I wrote. Each one telling a mix of information as well as my own insight into the matter. If you clicked on the page it would take you to the next, and the last slide would take back to the questions. All the questions are stylized to answer the big question "Where is Music Going?"
Slide 17: This slide was about a pattern I found in my research regarding the influence musicians have on society
Slide 18-19: These slides were meant to be a link to Youtube. The link was a combination of songs from the 20s to the 2000s. The next slide was why I stringed each slide together.
Slide 20: This is a navigation page. Each button would have corresponded with each time period
Slide 21-115: These are the bulk of the project. The actual history part of it. The set up I did was do an overview of the era to start off, and then depending on how much information I was able to pull from my research I would do a little explanatory piece for each popular music genre giving a few facts about it, and some ways it affected the era. Finally, I followed each era with a list of popular songs from each year of the decade in case someone was interested in listening to some of the music they just learned about.
