History of the Native America
The year is 1620, strangers appear out of nowhere. They say they come in peace, but the chiefs saw otherwise. The chiefs ordered that contact remain limited if not none. The strangers started to inhabit the land, part of which belonged to the Iroquois. The Iroquois decided that contact was irrelevant, so they came bearing gifts. The strangers started to expand which frightened the native american tribes, They decided that they should, out of respect, show the boundaries of where they could expand to. The settlers (they made this name for themselves) respected the natives wishes, and maintained those boundaries. After the Natives have set the boundaries, they went back to minimum contact as they were afraid that these strange “White men” would eventually be the end of their people. The Iroquois had the most contact with these “settlers”; but as these events were taking place, further west, The Cahokians were having their own issues. For years before the settlers had arrived, The Cahokians had been living off of the fertile lands near the Mississippi river. The problem was that this land was gradually losing its fertility, causing The Cahokians to send out scouts or groups to search for fertile lands. This search was not a difficult one as they soon found an abundance of great soil south. The further south they went the more fertile the land. Naturally they, over time, expanded downward so that their civilization could continue to prosper. Today, it is seen as one of the major powers in the country.
As the Cahokians expanded downward, they eventually were met by the Apache, who were looking for fellow tribes to trade with in order to survive. The Cahokian and Apache Leaders met and created a treaty of sorts, They agreed that if The Apache maintained and respected these boundaries that they would keep a consistent commerce with them. The Chinook soon made an appearance at the border of The Cahokian empire. Since The Chinook lived so far west they didn’t have any contact with the settlers for several years, they too want to trade, not for survival, purely out of curiosity. The Cahokians made a similar agreement with the Chinook as they did with the Apache. By the Year 1650, These three tribes, Cahokian, Apache, and Chinook; Had grown exponentially. This created an alliance of sorts, they traded, and protected each other from attacks. By this time, more and more settlers began to arrive in the Americas. This made the Iroquois very nervous, they were slowly being outnumbered. This caused the Confederacy to call upon the Westward alliance for help to contain the issue. All the Leaders met to devise a plan. None of them wanted to lose their land, or their resources and heritage.
After days of fasting and brainstorming they created a constitution for the new inhabitants of their land. In each tribe’s region, there would be a specific “Reservation” for the settlers to stay in. These reservations would be maintained by the Inhabitants of those reservations along with help from the tribes. This way the settlers could enjoy the land and use its resources without interfering with the Natives lifestyle. Also, as more settlers entered the land, more reservations would be created to house these newcomers. It would be up to the inhabitants of the reservations to name and determine everything from living areas to maintaining their own responsibilities. So this started what was called The Trail of New Beginnings, Settlers from the Iroquois area began to start long journeys through the Natives regions with Natives to guide them to their reservations. Although the journey was difficult for the settlers, with their guides they survived rather swimmingly. Nearly 200 years passed of peace between The Natives and The Settlers. The settlers were appreciative of the Natives kindness, but they started to get greedy and started to take advantage of the Natives. The Natives were foreign to the settlers ways, they were unaware of the settlers vile intentions. The settlers planned to attack the cahokian empire, and strike at their chief. In hopes of tearing down the empire. The settlers realizing how naive the Natives were decided to strike on April 12, 1861. They disguised their attack as a show they were putting on for the chiefs of the each region. It did not go well unfortunately, once the indians realized what was happening, the settlers were slaughtered until there were almost none left. A few settlers remained, and begged forgiveness for their actions. The Natives decided to give them another chance. They were once again put into specific reservations, and understanding that they were hopelessly outnumbered, very few conflicts occurred after this. At this point the main reservation was known as the Smith Reservation. Which was named after its leader, John Smith. This reservation was located where they had first landed in the ship called the Mayflower. John Smith negotiated with the Natives after being saved by one of the chiefs daughters. He had become the head ambassador to the Natives. They lived years in peace and harmony, the settlers harvested the land they lived on and gave a share of what they reaped to the Natives that owned the land. The Natives had excelled immensely as a whole, they had integrated metal into their society. They realized that when heated it could be molded into anything, including weapons. This made the Natives very happy, they were catching up with the rest of the world. Due to the large groups of people, it was decided that they needed to form a group of people to govern the masses. The chiefs left this up to the Iroquois, as they already governed themselves with a government of sorts. Then as they discussed their ideas they gradually spread their government over the land.
The Natives weren’t the only ones excelling during this time. The settlers have been living side by side with the Native for several hundred years now, and the Tribes finally were letting the settlers expand their territories little by little. We will that years later this would lead to the Settlers and the Natives living in peace simultaneously. Thus the land prospered and was full of peace. Even up until today it remains that way. Conflicts are very rare, and foreign relations are strong but limited. This country has prospered in many ways, growing at their own pace and doing it without any sort of violence. Peace is at an all time high, simply because the rest of the world is shadowing the few tribes that have made such a large impact through using peaceful methods contrary to violence.
